PROGRAMME

ONSERIES LISBOA: FOCUSED ON CONTENT

ONSeries Lisboa is a two-day unique event to be held on September 28 & 29, 2020, at the Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB), Lisbon (Portugal). Together with its commitment with networking opportunities for the attendees, ONSeries also seeks to put together a formative selection of activities. The attendees’ accreditations will grant them access to all daytime and nighttime activities.

For its first edition, ONSeries Lisboa presents a professional and comprehensive programme:

 

MONDAY 28: 10H00-18H00

OPENING. Presentation of the Portuguese institutions that collaborate in the event: Ministry of Culture, Secretary of State for Cinema, Audiovisual and Media, GEDIPE, Portugal Film Commission and RTP, which will include:

· A Portuguese television overview.
· A presentation of PFC activities and filming locations in Portugal.

PITGHING SESSIONS. ONSeries will host a pitching session of the Contest ONideas.

CONTEST ONideas is a competition aimed at authors living in Portugal or Spain. This contest is a new initiative created for this event to promote co-production series and docuseries linking Portugal and Spain. The 6selected finalist projects will be presented in a pitching session in ONSeries Lisboa (September 28 & 29, 2020).

KEYNOTE. Opportunities for the Portuguese fiction content around the world (in collaboration with GECA)

CHALLENGES OF AN INTERNATIONAL CO-PRODUCTION at the narrative, legal and financial level (in collaboration with APIT) Higher quality formats require greater financial resources: international co-production is one way to achieve this, but it requires the ability to manage distance and administrative barriers, combine languages, collaborate on creativity and access international markets

PORTUGUESE TALENT WITH INTERNATIONAL TALENT. International TV players are in urgent need of talent. Scriptwriters have to be at the center of this scene in order to be in touch with the growing demands of the audience organize the content department of a production company, coordinate the writer’s room in order to obtain productive results and develop their own strategies to present their own content to the decision-makers of the channels and production companies

CASE STUDY OF A PORTUGUESE CO-PRODUCTION SERIES: “AUGA SECA”. An international co-production success between SPI, Porto Cabo, RTP and CRTVG and  distritbuted by DCD Rights (UK).

MATCH MAKING INTERNATIONAL GUESTS- PORTUGUESE INDUSTRY. Private meetings between producers and major international investors invited to the event, organized through one-to-one meetings during 2 hours.

NETWORKING. Meeting in the PATIO DA SERIES area.

 

TUESDAY 29: 10H00-16H00

PANEL ON DOCUSERIES. Premium docuseries offer now the chance to satisfy the public’s need for both entertainment and knowledge. This is what’s driving OTT and other streamers to ramp up their own funding and production of nonfiction content:

· New narrative tendencies
· How to take in the marketing endeavor

BRAZILIAN CONTENT (in collaboration with globo tv brazil). Meet new contents and productions from independent Brazilian producers who are now significant in local and global markets.

EXPORTATION OF PORTUGUESE SERIES & TELENOVELAS. Showcases of Portuguese series or telenovelas that have been successfully distributed internationally, both the definitive episodes or the format to be shot in different countries.
